A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC AND SAIL

Island Street

 

Known to many as 'The Festival Fringe'; Island Street is as big a part of the festival as people wish to make it. It's a main point of entry to the town centre; it is a 'venue' for wonderful entertainment and hospitality during Saturday and of course it's ever popular as that part of Salcombe which keeps us in touch with our past.

 

Therefore visitors are as likely to enjoy peeping into the boat sheds to see how local craftsmen still repair and build as 'used to be the way'; as they are listening to a steel band. Thereafter it's just a few steps to our long established Island Cruising Club for an early 'stop over' and some 'forward planning - in truth, quite a few people probably never make it to the town centre from here!
